On the 8th July 1965 the Dave Clark Five movie "Catch Us If You Can" premiered in London.

On the 8th July 1966 The Beatles released their "Nowhere Man" EP which featured the songs "Drive My Car", "Michelle" and "You Won't See Me".

On the 8th July 1972 Bill Wither's "Lovely Day" started a 3 week run as the USA No1 and made No18 here in the UK.

On the 8th July 1972 Donny Osmond reached No1 in the UK chart with Paul Anka's "Puppy Love".

On the 8th July 1973 the fifth album "Houses Of The Holy" was No1 on both the UK and USA album charts .
